Let me just say again, I love the process of developing dreamy invitation suites that reflect the happy couple's taste and style. This classic navy and baronial ivory suite I designed for dear friends Hayli and Joe are influenced from their laid back, but traditional characteristics that lie within their warm attitudes and families. Of course there are the subtle hints of our Alma Mater present, Georgia Southern University, which I love seeing incorporated just enough to represent (Hail Southern!) As Hayli and I were making decisions together in this process, she decided on the gold envelope which brings out the warmth in the ivory so elegantly. The hand-illustrated florals and lettering, sweet but casual, give off that trait that will be present at their wedding venue: Sweet Meadow Farms. They will be wed in a simple field, maintained but not perfectly manicured (my favorite!)
I also want to touch on the variety and use of the elements. I believe there is a place for 'matchy' suites, where all collateral contain same header, etc., but I am a big fan of switching it up so the different pieces reflect each other, but are not identical. For example, Hayli wanted to incorporate a banner in the program, and I thought that it would be fitting to use the type of write out 'Hayli + Joe' with the hand-drawn florals spilling out to give off that same organic impression as the invitaion. Additionally, I love playing into timing and designing each piece for its own time.
On a more important note, Hayli and Joe become Mr. and Mrs. Murray in eight days! And we are so excited to celebrate!
