Our portrait giveaway winner, Rachel, is filled to the brim with grace and beauty. She is an ambitious, smart, and sweet individual that carries just the right amount of spunk for a more fashion-forward portrait session. We went downtown and wound up at the UGA Chapel- which is where I learned more about her tattoos, and of course asked if I could photograph them as well.
I am really in love with these photographs, because I feel that Rachel's essence is captured in the right frame. There is a strong purity she carries that is truly striking. Her olive branch art and simple letter 'e' just add to this, and the classic whites, browns, and blacks pictured touch on that pure and classic side as well. One of my favorites is the candid moment of Rachel fixing her hair.
Additionally, Rachel is on the Creative Team for The Broad Collective (an new publication about life in Athens, Georgia) and she just finished her work as Cold Brew Manager at 1000 Faces Coffee. She is wisely creative, it was obvious in our conversation, and I know she is a great asset to this city and to the world- both creatively and in her maturity and knowledge.
Thank you, Rachel, for your time, and you letting me photograph the beautiful lady that is you.
