After photographing a wedding I always feel incredibly invested in the day, the couple, the family, the friends, the people, because my mind is always reaching to capture every moment. So, at the end of the day I am left with the sights, sounds and feelings of each union- and the photographs. Realizing this is true for the couple and friends and family present (and keeping in mind those who could not attend), my heart for photographing weddings is to not only document scenes, but to communicate impressions of feelings and ultimately the love and community shared. I realize this is quite the job, but I am in love not only with the experience, but curating images to relive.
I would describe Anna and Fred as a couple that is profoundly considerate, joyful, and healthy. As I got to work when them more through engagement photographs and wedding timeline, I became more aware of how they consider others first to a point. And yes, I said healthy- it is entirely appropriate because Anna and Fred both take care of their bodies in a way that's truly remarkable! Fred played football and Anna was a cheerleader, both for the University of Georgia.
When I choose photographs to post in general, I think about which ones would really define the day and couple. This wedding was held at Ashford Manor in Watkinsville, Georgia on a peaceful rainy morning. Anna loves sunflowers and wildflowers, and the converses they wore shows that fun side they carry. Some of my favorites are in the ceremony- the faces and sweet emotions exchanged really came through, I believe. I had too many amazing photographs of friends and family dancing, it would be overwhelming to post, but I laughed so hard during that reception.
I know that your marriage will be a full one. Full of sincerity, laughter, and blessed sacrifice to each other and the people in your life- the kind that teaches people. It was my honor to be present and capture your wedding day, and to witness your incredible, holy union.
